Keranaut means voyager in the storm. It comes from the Greek words for "lightning" and "explorer".

Our careers have spanned dozens of countries, and we have successfully helped people, organizations and governments navigate massive disruptions like coups, wars, natural disasters and outbreaks of disease.

Keranaut’s founder is Matthew Pietz, who built a 20-year career in international development as a “fixer”, called in to lead troubled projects in high-risk contexts. Matt kept his teams safe and exceeded goals as he led five initiatives with budgets close to $50 million in Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. He brings to Keranaut not only his management acumen and ability to plan through disruption but also a profound understanding of what families need to navigate chaos. He's lived it, having been evacuated three times with his own family.

The tempest on its way may be wonderful, it may be challenging, but it is undoubtedly coming, and it will bring change on a scale humankind has never experienced.
